Ride Description:
Last week I felt a little empty toward the last 20 miles and faded a little as well so today I tried another Cliff bar at mile 60. I guessed that though this might have been a little early to eat the second bar I wanted it to digest a little and not feel as full in those last miles. Plus, I was little concerned that consuming at mile 80 might make the stomach a little more distressed. My stomach seemed a little queasy at 60, but it did digest and by mile 80 I was still feeling pretty good. This was just a little bit of an experiment as I have my food intake worked out well when I do the 80 mile route, but not quite worked out for 100.
Overall I felt like today's ride went well for a lower intensity endurance type ride.
